Salary: £93 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
Connex Education is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Unqualified Teaching Assistants in primary schools across Yeovil from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone considering a career in education or looking to gain valuable classroom experience in welcoming Somerset primary schools. We have a range of opportunities available, including flexible daily supply work, short-term placements, and longer-term assignments.
Working in supportive school environments, you will help pupils engage in learning and contribute to their educational journey while developing your own skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Support teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks
Work with individual pupils and small groups to encourage participation
Assist in creating a positive and engaging learning environment
Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
Person Specification
Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
Suitable backgrounds may include childcare, coaching, youth work, customer service, tutoring, outdoor education, or care work
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, adaptable, and professional approach
Passion for supporting children to achieve their best
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through Connex Education
