About the role
Edinburgh Napier University is seeking a Market Intelligence Analyst to join our International Operations and Student Recruitment (IOSR) directorate. This pivotal role supports the University’s strategic priorities by delivering actionable insights that shape student recruitment, international partnerships, and portfolio development.
As our Market Intelligence Analyst, you will lead on market research and data analysis projects, turning complex data into actionable recommendations that influence decisions at both operational and strategic levels. From competitor benchmarking to global market assessments, your work will directly support the University’s growth and internationalisation agenda. You’ll have the opportunity to design and deliver qualitative and quantitative research projects, including competitor analysis and demographic profiling, providing vital intelligence to recruitment teams, schools, and senior stakeholders. Your expertise will help inform new transnational education programmes and strengthen our international presence. This is a role where you can make a direct impact—through shaping strategic decisions at a leading modern university; working on projects with global reach and influence; enjoying autonomy and visibility at senior leadership.
Responsibilities
* Lead on market research and data analysis projects, turning complex data into actionable recommendations.
* Analyse competitor benchmarking and global market assessments.
* Design and deliver qualitative and quantitative research projects, including competitor analysis and demographic profiling.
* Provide vital intelligence to recruitment teams, schools, and senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in market research, data analysis, and insight generation projects to inform decision making.
* Experience of disseminating and communicating research or complex data to a wide range of audiences.
* Experience of project management.
* Strong organisational skills combined with the ability to work to deadlines and make decisions under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills including the ability to build relationships and work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues.
* Strong numeracy, analytical, and report-writing skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
* Proactive, collaborative approach and attention to detail.
