Do you have a passion for using data to make a real difference in education and SEND services?
Are you skilled in using tools like Excel and databases to validate, clean and analyse data - and ready to apply those skills to help shape services for children and young people?
Whats the role all about?
This is a new role within our Data & Insights team that is responsible for the collection, collation, and analysis of data and information for education and SEND data.
We are looking for an individual who has a genuine understanding and enthusiasm about the use of robust, reliable data and information to support service delivery and who has a positive, proactive attitude.
In this role you will collate and gather information from a wide range of sources and systems across the council and its partners. You will ensure that information is accessible to the data analysts working within the team, ensuring that data is 'clean' and of a high quality, and undertake some data analysis yourself. You will also work with a range of stakeholders, including schools, to assist in producing various Government Data Returns.
Your Responsibilities.
Working closely with education, ICT and children's services you will undertake a wide range of data processing, data validation, error checking and system testing roles.
Who are we looking for?
You will have experience of working with data in a large and complex organisation and you will be able to demonstrate that you have experience of using databases and tools such as Excel. You need to have an aptitude for fine detail as the role involves quality assuring and cleaning data and working with colleagues to understand and correct data discrepancies. The role will involve amending system data and running extract reports and will require a good knowledge of information governance principles.
Experience of working within a school environment in an Administration, Data, Teaching or Mentoring role would be an advantage, as would knowledge of the school education system and building good working relationships with schools.
You will have the ability to build good relationships with internal and external users of the data, and to be able to confidently raise data issues with colleagues and present data in different ways for a range of audiences.
How to apply?
