Supply Chain Assistant

The closing date is 26 August 2025

The three Partner Trusts have set an objective of creating a singleprocurement function which will help support the sustainable provisionof clinical and non-clinical services.

A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply chain services to it's Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role


Main duties of the job

Working as a Supply Chain Assistant within a particular Trust you willcontribute to the cleanliness, security and safety of equipment and stockthroughout the Trust.

You will work within clearly defined procedureusing your own initiative on routine matters and refer to the Supply ChainOperative when necessary.

Responsible for taking delivery of product delivered to site, receipting allgoods delivered onto the e-Procurement system, stocking clinical andnon-clinical areas with products delivered, maintaining stock rotation tominimise wastage and scanning to reorder stock against agreed stocklevels.

You will work to ensure an efficient and effective customer focusedservice is provided for all staff across the site ensuring they can deliverexcellent patient care

Person Specification

* Able to work alone and on own initiative, making decisions as necessary.
* Respects and safeguards confidential information.
* Problem solving ability
* Ability to travel across the various Trust sites and provide support as required to maintain business continuity.
* Flexible approach, able to cope with change and uncertainty.
* Strong team player, highly enthusiastic and motivated.
* NHS experience.
* Experience of using inventory management systems.
* Qualified to operate pallet trucks/ delivery trucks.
* Full UK C1 driving license


Meets Desirable criteria

* Able to work alone and on own initiative, making decisions as necessary.
* Full UK C1 driving lisence
