Construction Engineering Lead Role

The Role:
Our London office is seeking an Engineering Lead for our Construction Engineering (CE) team. In this role, you will collaborate with other Discipline Leads to support and expand the team, working closely with structural, civil, infrastructure, and construction engineering disciplines. Although our primary focus is in the UK, we operate internationally, ensuring a diverse and varied workload.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Leading business development and marketing efforts, establishing and nurturing a client network.
2. Collaborating with business leaders to integrate construction engineering services into UK projects.
3. Developing and implementing a unified approach to the CE discipline across our offices, facilitating global project delivery.
4. Contributing to system enhancements and continuous learning initiatives.
5. Managing contractual obligations on projects and participating in both internal and external project team meetings.
6. Leading projects and coordinating designs with other consultants.
7. Undertaking structural erection methodology reports and developing effective design solutions across various sectors.
8. Independently drafting reports, specifications, and proposals with a focus on commercial aspects.
9. Managing projects from inception to completion, including budgeting and client management.
About You:
As the Discipline Lead, you will play a senior role in strengthening our engineering capabilities and supporting our teams. Successful Applicants will have:
* At least 15 years of relevant experience, ideally within engineering consultancy or the construction industry, with expertise in temporary works engineering or related fields.
* MEng qualifications or higher, along with Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent.
* Proficiency in relevant engineering standards and guidelines, with strong communication and time management skills.
* Attention to detail and the ability to review, supervise, and grow teams.
* Experience in managing projects commercially and working across various project design stages.
