A well-established electrical contractor with a growing renewables division is looking for a highly motivated Solar PV Project Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale commercial solar installations. This is your opportunity to lead impactful projects, drive sustainability, and shape operational success in a dynamic and fast-growing team.
The Role
You'll take full ownership of Solar PV projects – from planning and pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. You’ll manage everything from site surveys to stakeholder engagement while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance are never compromised.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the full project lifecycle for Solar PV installations
* Budgeting, planning, scheduling, and client liaison
* Preparing O&M manuals, CAD drawings, reports, RAMS, and handover documentation Conducting risk assessments, DNO applications, and G99/G100 compliance
* Supporting design with PV software tools (e.g., PV SOL, Open Solar)
* Ensuring all work meets H&S and industry standards
* Contributing to ongoing process improvement within the renewables division
What You’ll Need
* Proven experience managing commercial Solar PV projects
* Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and electrical infrastructure
* Familiarity with G99/G100, DNO applications, and AutoCAD Experience using PV design software (e.g., PV SOL, Open Solar)
* Electrical qualifications: NVQ Level 3, C&G 2365, 18th Edition, 2391/2392
* H&S qualifications: SMSTS, IOSH, or equivalent Knowledge of MCS accreditation and battery storage systems (desirable) CSCS or ECS Gold Card (preferred)
* Full UK Driving Licence
