Role Overview
As our Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind our digital and commercial brand presence. You will bridge the gap between creative storytelling and data-driven performance, overseeing everything from high-level strategy to hands‑on execution. Crucially, you will manage and mentor a Marketing Executive and work closely with the Bids team, ensuring the teams meet their targets while fostering a culture of creativity and professional growth.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hrs per week
Salary: £50,000
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Team Management
* Line Management: Directly manage a Marketing Executive, providing guidance, setting clear KPIs, and supporting their professional development.
* Workflow Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day output of the marketing function, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
* Strategy & Growth
* Support the development and delivery of the overarching marketing strategy, identifying growth opportunities and defining digital priorities.
* Establish success measures and KPIs to ensure all campaigns deliver a measurable commercial impact.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with Bywaters' broader business and commercial goals.
* Stakeholder Collaboration
* Cross-Departmental Synergy: Foster strong collaboration with other departments across the business to ensure cohesive, insight-driven activity.
* Internal Insight: Work closely with Sales and Operations to translate ground-level data into compelling marketing narratives and lead‑generation tools.
* Working closely with the bids team, to support on delivering compelling bid responses and world-class presentations
* Multi-Channel Campaign Management
* Plan, execute, and optimise fully integrated digital campaigns across PPC, SEO, email, LinkedIn, and strategic partnerships.
* Oversee the publication of digital content, ensuring consistent brand messaging and a "sustainability first" tone across all channels.
* Drive brand visibility through organic content strategies and strategic digital partnerships.
* Website & CRM Excellence
* CMS Management: Act as the lead for our WordPress site, ensuring content is fresh and the site is optimised for UX, mobile, and conversion.
* CRM & Automation: Lead email marketing and CRM programmes within Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot), focusing on smart lead segmentation and personalisation.
* Technical SEO: Oversee SEO performance, including content optimisation and technical enhancements to drive organic search growth.
* Creative & Content Production
* Copywriting: Act as the senior "voice" of the brand, producing and approving compelling, professional copy for blogs, whitepapers, bids and advertisements.
* Design: Utilise Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva to produce (and oversee the production of) high-quality visual assets that align with the Bywaters brand identity.
* Performance Analysis & Reporting
* Data Tracking: Monitor and analyse market trends and campaign performance using Google Analytics and CRM reporting.
* Insights: Provide regular, actionable insights to the leadership team to refine marketing spend and improve lead generation tactics.
Candidate Experience & Skills
* Leadership: Proven experience managing or mentoring team members within a marketing environment.
* Technical Stack: Essential proficiency in WordPress, Salesforce Pardot (Account Engagement), and Google Analytics.
* Collaborative Mindset: A natural relationship builder capable of extracting insights from various business functions to fuel marketing success.
* Creative Flair: A natural creative who can translate complex sustainability data into engaging visual and written content.
* Design Savvy: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/InDesign) or high-level Canva skills.
* Copywriting: Exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail and brand consistency.
* Communication: Proven experience of managing or supporting tender submissions and technical presentations.
* Must live within one-hour commute of our Lea Riverside site in Bow, East London.
