This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solar Project Manager to join a growing company committed to sustainable living. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of solar PV projects from initial feasibility to commissioning, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and high-quality delivery. Key Responsibilities * Plan, manage, and execute residential solar PV installations across multiple development sites. * Liaise with architects, M&E engineers, and site managers to integrate solar systems into the build process. * Assess and select solar technologies, inverters, and mounting systems best suited for each development. * Produce and interpret technical drawings and system designs using tools such as PV*Sol, AutoCAD or equivalent. * Manage project budgets, procurement, scheduling, and risk. * Ensure all installations comply with relevant standards, including MCS, DNO applications, and G98/G99 grid connections. * Conduct quality assurance checks and oversee commissioning, handover, and documentation. * Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. Essential Requirements * Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing solar PV projects (domestic or residential-scale). * In-depth technical understanding of solar PV systems, components, and grid connection requirements. * Demonstrable experience in coordinating end-to-end solar installations. * Familiarity with UK compliance regulations including MCS, DNO grid connection, Part L and G98/G99. * Strong project management and organisational skills. * Experience in managing sub-contractors and technical teams. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites. Desirable * Electrical background or qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, NICEIC, or similar). * SMSTS, SSSTS or IOSH safety certifications. * Experience with battery storage systems or EV charging infrastructure. * Working knowledge of renewable energy incentives and energy performance standards (e.g., SAP).
