Job description
Our client, a leading name in the electrical installation systems industry, is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Telford. As an innovation leader with a commitment to eco-efficient and energy-saving solutions, our client operates globally and is renowned for producing high-quality products that serve residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Designing and developing electrical systems using 3D solid modelling CAD packages, preferably Creo 7.0.
2. Creating innovative solutions for device integration and system design.
3. Designing sheet metal and plastic parts for electrical systems.
4. Working on the design of enclosed electrical busbar systems with an understanding of current carrying capacity and thermal dissipation.
5. Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, such as IEC 61439, IEC 62208, and their British Standard versions.
6. Managing projects from concept through to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
7. Collaborating with a global R&D team to support the growth and innovation of the business.
Job Requirements:
8. Experience in electrical design and proficiency with a design software such as Creo 7.0.
9. Solid knowledge of design for excellence methodologies and general manufacturing processes.
10. Understanding of device integration, system design, and electrical component design.
11. Knowledge of thermal dissipation, short circuit ratings, and applicable industry standards.
12. Strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-performing team.
13. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
14. Ability to think creatively and challenge standard practices to drive innovation.
