About the Role
We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Belper on a 6-month secondment with strong potential to become permanent.
Immediate start available, making this an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to move quickly into a new role.
You'll work in a highly automated, fast-paced production environment, supporting advanced equipment including robotics and PLC-controlled systems. The company is known for its engineering excellence, sustainability focus, and commitment to employee development.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and automated systems
* Deliver reactive maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain operational efficiency
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively
* Support automated presses, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment
* Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
* Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) and engineering projects
* Ensure adherence to health & safety, quality, and compliance standards
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
* Background in manufacturing, FMCG, production, or industrial environments
* Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems
* Experience with robotics or automated machinery (desirable)
* Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
* Proactive and flexible approach with strong problem-solving skills
