The role of a Support Worker at Enable in Grantham, Lincolnshire involves making a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals with complex support needs, including those with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health challenges. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to their role.


Main duties of the job

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting individuals to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community. This involves encouraging active participation in the community, supporting with activities of daily living, effective communication, and promoting enhanced quality of life. You will also be required to keep accurate records and report changes in the health or circumstances of service users to management. The role requires working as part of a team, as well as using your own initiative.

Where youll be working:

Grantham, Lincolnshire

We support 14 people living in the town of Grantham,

This is a unique service within Grantham offering supporting living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.

We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, and to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

What is required from you?

A minimum of 12 months on your right to work

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;

Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating- effectively communicate using peoples chosen methods

Engaging- promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording- keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
