Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Dietitian (Mental Health & CAMHS) to join our busy Mental Health Dietetics Service based at North Essex. Our friendly and growing team is ready to welcome new members who share our passion for improving access and the quality of care for people with Mental Health conditions in MH inpatient units, community settings & CAMHS. The working hours are 37.5 hours per week and flexible working can be agreed.
We welcome candidates looking for Band 5 developmental positions as well.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist assessment and management as a dietitian within the Mental Health Dietetics team in EPUT MH Services.
* Work as a dietetic practitioner within uni-professional and multi-professional teams with regular supervision.
* Deliver patient-centred care in collaboration with the MDT to support people in mental health services, CAMHS and related settings.
* Lead and supervise junior staff and students where appropriate; receive regular professional and management supervision and develop skills in this specialist area.
* Travel to other Trust sites and to community settings as required.
* Join an integrated team of therapists and contribute as a source of expertise on dietetic and nutritional management.
* Participate in peer supervision, contribute to training, supervision of colleagues and students, and may lead clinical audits or undertake research.
* Possibly supervise or manage Students, Basic Grade Dietitians and Dietetics Assistants in line with Trust HR processes.
* Work collaboratively with partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners to deliver a 7-day-a-year service where appropriate.

* Demonstrable interest in working for the Mental Health Dietetics service; flexible and motivated with opportunities for professional development.
* Ability to work autonomously with high degree of professional autonomy and to contribute within multidisciplinary teams.
* Willingness to work across Trust premises and community settings; willingness to travel between sites.

Additional Information
Using specialist knowledge of mental health and physical functioning, you will provide all aspects of specialist nutritional or dietetic advice, treatment and support to service users, taking into account their mental, psychological, emotional and physical needs. You will deliver an age-inclusive service for adults of working age and older adults in mental health services, CAMHS, and will provide interventions in accordance with the Trust Eating Disorder Pathways. You will have responsibility as a specialist practitioner with a high degree of autonomy for planning and delivering treatment on your own caseload under supervision. You will work as part of multidisciplinary teams in a variety of settings including Trust premises and community locations.
You will be expected to display behaviours aligned with the Trust values and NHS Constitution.
