As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of children. You will foster a positive learning environment where children can develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, social interaction, and physical development. You will also build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure the holistic development of every child. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality, play-based EYFS lessons Observe, assess, and track children’s progress across all developmental areas Support children’s personal, social, emotional, and communication development Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children, including SEN Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other EYFS staff Build positive relationships with parents and carers, sharing regular updates Maintain accurate assessment records and learning journals Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Have experience teaching within EYFS or Reception Be caring, patient, and child-centred Be creative, organised, and reflective in practice Have strong classroom management and planning skills Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children The school is located in Birmingham, with excellent transport links and a friendly, supportive community.
