A PE-backed services business is seeking an experienced Interim CFO to support the business through a critical exit process. With EBITDA of c.£5m, the company is entering a key phase and requires a commercially astute finance leader to drive the transaction and work closely with investors and senior leadership.
This is a high-impact role partnering directly with the CEO and private equity stakeholders to manage the end-to-end exit process, while ensuring the finance function operates effectively throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the business through a full private equity exit process from preparation to completion.
Partner closely with the CEO to deliver transaction objectives and maximise value.
Act as the primary point of contact for external advisors, including corporate finance, legal, and diligence providers.
Oversee and support a small finance team, ensuring continuity of day-to-day operations.
Prepare and present financial information for investors, buyers, and stakeholders.
Drive timelines, coordination, and overall execution of the transaction process.
To Be Suitable
Proven track record delivering successful PE exits in a CFO capacity.
Strong experience managing due diligence and working with external advisors.
Background in PE-backed or investor-led environments.
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to manage both strategic and operational priorities.
Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly at CEO and investor level.
Calm under pressure with the ability to operate effectively in high-stakes environments.
