Where will I be working?
Our service is a 24-hour supported living facility providing care for 5 adults with Learning Disabilities and additional health issues.
We aim to create positive family relationships and a supportive environment. Our focus is on supporting individuals in a person-centred way, which includes activities such as shopping, managing budgets, cooking, and promoting independence.
Shift Patterns
This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is essential. You will work a variety of shifts from 7:00/8:00 am to 2:00/3:00 pm and 3:00/3:00 pm to 9:00/10:00 pm, including sleep-ins or waking nights, and some weekends. Working hours may vary depending on the service.
Role Responsibilities
What will I be doing?
This role is hands-on and varied. Your duties will include:
* Promoting independence for the people we support
* Supporting daily activities like cleaning, cooking, outings, or holidays
* Organising activities within the home and community
* Developing residents' life skills and personal interests
* Helping residents stay safe and healthy
* Assisting with personal care and medication
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring

What skills and qualities do I need?
Knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs is beneficial but not essential. The key qualities include:
* Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic
* Flexible, patient, and non-judgemental
* A great team player with lots of energy
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as manual handling
