The Best Connection Oxford are looking for a Class 1 HGV Tramper Driver for our client based in Abingdon!
50 per hour
Expected Hours: 45 hours per week + overtime opportunities at time and a half!
Due to continued expansion of our established client, we are actively seeking HGV Class 1 Tramping driver to join our client's operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting Mats and Plant machinery safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle flatbed deliveries. As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Operate lorries to transport goods and Plant to designated locations.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local roads and routes.
Ability to work a flexible schedule (day, night, occasional weekends).
CSCS card desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Full training will be provided, with development opportunities and ability to progress within the company.
HGV Class 1 licence, must be comfortable with securing loads and plant using ratchet straps.
50 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a half.
