Senior Project Manager
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for a full‑time position in support of our Yorkshire Water Contract. The SPM will manage a defined team of APMs and PMs, requiring strong line management skills to effectively lead a small group. Responsibilities include ownership of challenging projects with commercial, financial, or H&S risks, and applying substantial senior project management experience to resolve delivery issues decisively.
What you will be doing
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and wastewater division stakeholders.
* Communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms.
* Provide clear instructions and consistent delivery to inspire confidence.
* Lead localized reporting by preparing and planning concise reports for projects within your area.
* Collaborate with the Head of Capital Works to ensure efficient resource allocation for successful project delivery.
* Coordinate with the commercial team on tenders and proposals, ensuring alignment with governance processes.
* Secure new sales to support the annual financial plan.
* Ensure all projects comply with contracts, statutory regulations, SHEQ requirements, and industry standards.
* Support the business through effective communication in meetings, briefings, reporting, and other forums.
* Foster strong partnerships with suppliers to drive innovation for customers.
Who are we looking for?
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

* Understand commercial and financial metrics.
* Internal and external customer management.
* Knowledge of the construction market.
* Project management methodology.
* Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation.
* Understanding of general financial terminology.
* Previous project management experience in a senior capacity, either an M&E, FM, construction or critical environment.
* Previous experience of proven line management responsibility.
* Able to travel to meet the needs of the role.
