JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN
The post is based on the Arbroath on a 3/3 rota – Fixed Term for 6 months.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operate process equipment and utility systems in accordance with operating procedures to maximise production
2. Carry out watch keeping duties to ensure integrity and stability of operation is maintained
3. Prepare and isolate equipment for maintenance activities and reinstate on completion
4. Carry out first line maintenance activities on the process plant and utility
5. Report any defects or anomalies in a timely manner
6. Respond to process trips and unplanned equipment stoppages in a timely manner
7. Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change
8. Participate in Root Cause Analysis activities to improve process reliability
9. Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in production, cost or time without loss of integrity and present to management
10. Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
11. Participate in PFM competence scheme including any multi skilled role in accordance with the relevant competence framework
12. Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success
13. Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict
14. Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels
15. Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with Sinopec’s HS&E policy, procedures and Safety Management System
16. Be familiar with and follow the Sinopec Golden Rules for Health and Safety at all times
17. Comply with all relevant PFM HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate
18. Actively participate and support all Sinopec and PFM, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives and improvements
19. Carry out all activities in accordance with ISSOW including the following:
20. Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks
21. Stop and re-asses any job where change is identified
22. Report all accidents and incidents
23. Carry out Emergency Response duties in accordance with Sinopec’s requirements
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
24. NSVQ Production of Hydrocarbons Level 3 or Equivalent
25. Control of Work Training - Performing Authority level
26. ISSoW - Permit Vision software training
27. Previous experience in a similar offshore role
28. Previous experience with Maximo or similar CMMS
29. Computer literate including use of Microsoft office suite
