Fabric Technician - Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Fabric Technician to join our team in Redhill. The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to reactive works within the team, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales, and liaising with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Undertaking site surveys and producing Works Requests, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for planned works.
2. Repairing floor and wall coverings, ceiling tiles, and other building components.
3. Handling lighting, lamp changes, filter changes for AHUs/FCUs, and basic plumbing requirements.
4. Utilizing PDA devices to complete works, communicate key updates, and record progress.
5. Completing reactive, PPM jobs, and projects promptly.
6. Undertaking minor project works as assigned.
7. Ensuring all works are performed safely, adhering to Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
Qualifications and skills required:
* Previous experience in Fabric or Carpentry work.
* Experience working in high-profile environments.
* City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in Carpentry.
* Current UK driving license.
* Proficiency in PC use.
* Strong customer relationship skills.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, instructions, and processes.
* Good organizational skills to manage tasks and determine material requirements.
In addition to the above duties, you will be expected to undertake all reasonable tasks as directed by the Technical Services Manager.
