Automotive Embedded Software Application Engineer
to join their team.
In this role you will join their Automotive Application Engineer Group, which closely collaborates with its automotive partners and customers from concept to commercialization. You will be responsible for providing direct support to customers and partners with the design, development and debug of reference designs SW related issues alongside helping to customize/optimize software to meet the product requirements.
The successful candidate will get a chance to work on cutting edge infotainment/digital cockpit technologies from leading auto manufacturers and Tier1s - seeing the projects through to commercialization.
Responsibilities as
Automotive Embedded Software Application Engineer
:
* Support customers and partners with the design, development and debug of reference designs SW related issues.
* Customize/optimize software to meet the product requirements.
* Quickly ramp-up onto existing projects, understanding automotive platform hardware and software driver architecture.
* Read/write technical specifications and requirements.
* Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and work closely with external customers to customize and launch their new products.
Requirements:
* 6+ years of experience with embedded software development/ debugging, or related work experience
* 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing role.
* Experience with embedded software development, integration, debugging.
* Experience with embedded multimedia development in one or more of audio, display, graphics.
* Experience with C/C++ programming.
* Experience high level operating systems (QNX or Android) or any real-time operating systems.
* Excellent issue triage and debugging skills.
* Good communication and excellent team working skills.
Desirable Experience:
* Experience with one or more software platforms: QNX, Linux android, Linux containers.
* Experience with OpenGL ES, Vulkan, OpenCL.
* Familiarity with bridge-chips (serialiser/de-serialisers), composition, colour formats.
* Experience with GPU buffer management, GPU shader architecture.
* Experience with display panel specifications (timing, pixel clock, framerates).
* Experience with MPI, CSI and DSI interfaces.
