About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organising essential fundraising events. Whether you're encouraging Residents to socialise more effectively, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care team, you’ll do so with kindness and consideration.
HC-One is looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should be able to manage your time effectively and communicate kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to act on concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately.
