Location: Oxford
Hybrid Working: 4 days in-office / 1 day remote
We are seeking talented creatives to join our client's games team, working on a portfolio of free-to-play slot games for mobile-first platforms.
The Role
Responsible for taking briefs and creating high-quality 2D and 3D concepts, assets, animations, and effects that will bring their slot games to life. Working closely with other artists, designers, developers, and testers, you will contribute to feature-rich games for internal and external platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and illustrate 2D and 3D elements for slot/casino-style games, including symbols, backgrounds, UI, animations, and effects.
* Produce detailed concept art, storyboards, and sketches from game briefs to enable stakeholder review and project approval.
* Develop 2D and 3D assets across a range of styles (realistic, cartoon, fantasy, sci-fi, etc.).
* Optimise assets for both performance and quality.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure artistic vision and quality standards are achieved.
* Provide constructive feedback to improve game art and design.
* Stay up to date with trends and technologies in the slot game industry.
Requirements
* Strong portfolio of 2D and 3D artwork, ideally in slots/casino games.
* Proven ability to create production-ready concept art from briefs.
* Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Spine, Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya, Blender, or similar.
* Experience in asset creation including textures, lighting, shading, rigging, and animation.
* Understanding of game art pipelines and optimisation best practices.
* Familiarity with AI tools that enhance game asset production.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work to deadlines.
* Passion for creating and playing slot games.
