What You Will Do
* M&A Leadership: Own the full M&A lifecycle—target identification, valuation modeling, due diligence, negotiation, execution, and integration planning. Collaborate with Cytiva leadership and Danaher Corporate Development to assure seamless execution and integration.
* Strategic Planning: Lead or co‑lead the annual strategic planning process for BTG, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, scenario planning. Develop thought leadership on emerging and established industry trends to inform strategic priorities and translate insights into actionable growth initiatives. Prepare board‑level presentations and executive updates on strategic direction and M&A progress.
* Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Legal, R&D, Commercial, and Operations teams to align and execute strategic initiatives. Drive post‑acquisition integration planning and performance tracking.
Who You Are
* Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Economics, Finance, or related field plus an MBA or Master’s Degree, with 10+ years in M&A, corporate development, strategy, investment banking or private equity, and at least 5 years in life sciences or biotech.
* 2-4 years in a top‑tier consulting firm or equivalent experience focused on market analysis and/or growth/strategy commercial projects; or an investment firm including PE or VC.
* Experience leading multiple M&A diligence projects and senior‑level strategic planning and market analysis.
* Ability to lead market research projects executing VOC and synthesizing insights into actionable findings.
* Deep financial modeling, valuation and due diligence expertise; experience building ROIC models.
* Strong strategic thinking and ability to synthesize complex market data into actionable plans.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills for executive and board‑level audiences, and ability to influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
