Your new role Responsibilities will vary depending on whether you join as a Senior Architect OR Architectural Technologist, but in general you will be expected to play a pivotal part in leading Architectural projects from concept through to completion (or from various RIBA stages to completion), overseeing design development, ensuring creative and technical excellence. You'll coordinate with clients, external consultants / design teams as well as internal teams to deliver a unified and agreed vision for the end project. You'll manage and mentor colleagues, allocate resources effectively across multiple workstreams and ensure deadlines / budget parameters are met. As per positions at this level, you'll prepare, review and sign-off on detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with local building & planning regulations, and the studio's internal best practices. You'll resolve design and site issues swiftly and effectively, offering troubleshooting solutions or workarounds. These are not an exhaustive list, and full nuances of the position will be discussed as part of the subsequent interview process. What you'll need to succeed To be considered, you should possess an Architecture / Architectural Technology related degree (or equivalent) with subsequent experience within a professional consultancy environment. This practice were an early adopter of BIM, so BIM / Revit experience would be desirable, but of more importance is large-scale project experience across any / multiple sectors as mentioned in the introduction above. You should be a competent team player, but also able to work independently where required. It's expected that you'll be at project-lead level, with a profound understanding of construction and methodologies, with a grasp on the latest innovations in terms of digital construction and design trends.
