Job Title: Accountant
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £30,000+
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join a well-established accountancy practice in the Birmingham/Cannock Chase area. This role is suited to someone who has worked with small businesses and sole traders and is confident in preparing accounts, providing tax advice, and supporting client needs. The practice offers a collaborative environment with opportunities to mentor junior colleagues while developing long-term client relationships.
Duties of an Accountant
In this role, you will work within the accounts team to provide high-quality financial services to a varied client base. Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for:
· Preparing accounts from client records.
· Producing final accounts using Digita software.
· Completing personal and company tax calculations.
· Liaising with clients to provide ongoing support and advice.
· Assisting in the training and development of junior staff members.
· Offering tailored tax planning and advisory services.
Skills and Experience of an Accountant
As an Accountant, you will need to demonstrate:
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting.
· AAT qualification (or equivalent).
