An enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking, and flexible person is required to assist with the smooth running of this busy department. The postholder will be expected to provide an efficient, friendly, and welcoming service to patients at reception. The successful candidate will:
1. Provide support to the technical, secretarial, medical, and nursing staff of the department.
2. Carry out receptionist duties, including prioritising and arranging appointments, maintaining appointment systems, identifying test requests and investigations, and coordinating clinics within the department.
3. Deal with patient and staff enquiries in person or via telephone in a courteous and confidential manner, providing assistance as required.
You will be trained to use the electronic patient system (PAS) along with relevant administrative skills and will contribute to and support a busy, dedicated team. The successful candidate will work on set days during the week (Monday to Friday) with occasional weekend/evening duties when required.
