The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful professional hands-on experience to students with leadership potential and proven academic performance. Werfen hires students pursuing a business or finance related degree into this internship program based on business needs. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
Position Description
1. The Intern will be assigned a short-term project that they will develop and present alongside the hiring manager to business partners. This project will be hands on, touch multiple departments, and allow for a condensed experience of FP&A.Possible projects: Financial forecast improvements, financial package design overhaul, product line reporting, and Sales KPI tracking improvements.
2. The Intern will also be involved in the day-to-day activities of the team, including financial forecasting, excel modeling, participation in the monthly financial package, ad-hoc financial analysis, & communication with directors & VPs on their financial metrics.

3. Requires confidence in using Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
4. Requires Enthusiasm, motivation, initiative and ability to work within an interactive and energetic workplace.
5. Analyze financial statements, sales reports, & service logs.
6. Assist in creating & designing reports that will be utilized by business partners.
7. Analysis skills for large data sets using excel to develop insights into the business.
8. Assist in forecasting, modeling, & financial analysis.
9. Minimum 3.0 GPA desired.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:
10. Currently pursuing B.S. in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field with a minimum of 2 college semesters complete.
11. Ability to multitask.
The hourly range for this role is $22/hr to $30/hr. Individual compensation will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience and grade level completed.
