This role involves performing bacteriological analyses, identifying significant pathogens, and conducting susceptibility testing to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the quality and reliability of laboratory results while maintaining compliance with NHS standards and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities As a Bacteriology Biomedical Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting bacteriological investigations, including culture reading, pathogen identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. You will collaborate with senior biomedical scientists and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient laboratory operations and high-quality patient care. Additionally, you will maintain strict adherence to health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications & Experience HCPC registration (essential). IBMS Specialist Diploma in Medical Microbiology or equivalent (desirable). Proven experience in bacteriology laboratory settings. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
