Pharmacy Assistant - Development Role to Senior Pharmacy Assistant

You will be working as part of a team responsiblefor delivering pharmacy services to our community hospitals, mental health inpatientwards, mental health community teams and specialised clinical services acrossHerefordshire and Worcestershire. We provide a range of experience throughoutour Trust to develop your potential in our skilled, innovative, and caringteam. You will work with a diverse range of staff and patients, so must be ableto work collaboratively to deliver the highest quality of care. It is vitalthat you can put patient care at the heart of your work to improve healthcareoutcomes and service delivery. This is a developmental role with associatedassessments and training expectations.
There are two posts available from 22.5 hours.Currently there are no weekend duties, bank holiday working or latenights. You may be expected to work someSaturday mornings in the future.

Main duties of the job
As a pharmacy assistant, you will be part ofthe team, working within stores (procurement) and the dispensary to deliver acomprehensive pharmacy and medicines management service to all sites within theTrust
You will regularly visit designated clinicalareas to review stock holding and provide a stock top up service; dispensemedication and deal with routine enquiries.
You will be required to work independentlyand as part of a team and must be able to travel throughout the Trust.

Person Specification
Experience
* Previous experience of working in a hospital or community pharmacy
* Previous experience of stock control work
* Previous experience in a customer or patient care setting
Additional Criteria
* Willingness to undertake further training including accuracy checking for dispensing assistants course when posts become available.
* You understand that we will not provide sponsorship to work for this role.
Qualifications
* GCSE (or equivalent) grade 5 or above in Maths, Science and English Language (all 3 are required)
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
