This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, progressive Early Intervention in Psychosis Service based in Horsham, supporting clients with First Episode Psychosis to have a positive, hopeful, and meaningful experience of mental health services.
We are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Mental Health Nurse to work as a Lead Practitioner, to complement our existing multidisciplinary Early Intervention in Psychosis service based at New Park House in Horsham. This post is for maternity cover and is fixed term until 31st Oct 2025.
Horsham Early Intervention Service is a small team of passionate, talented, and creative individuals offering a wide range of specialisms. The successful applicants will support a small caseload of clients aged 14-65, with suspected or confirmed First Episode Psychosis in the community from point of referral to discharge, providing effective care coordination for up to 3 years.
Through developing therapeutic relationships, you will work collaboratively with clients to create person-centered care and treatment plans which aim to reduce distress, maintain independence, prevent relapse, promote recovery, and social inclusion. Involving and working with friends and family members is a key component of the care delivery.
Previous experience supporting clients with mental health and social care difficulties is beneficial. You will be supported to develop specialist knowledge and skills to support those presenting with First Episode Psychosis. A keen interest in understanding the principles and ethos of early intervention and this client group is important. We are a multidisciplinary team based at New Park House in Horsham, situated in front of Horsham Park, within walking distance of the train station, town centre shops, and cafes. Horsham is conveniently accessible from Brighton, Crawley, and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an established specialist psychosis service. The Horsham EIP team is one of six Early Intervention in Psychosis teams provided by the Trust, overseen by a single service-wide governance group.
You will be supported by the team leader and the wider MDT through clinical, managerial, and professional supervision, as well as regular MDT meetings, risk discussions, and case formulation sessions.

The role is based in Horsham; however, the team works flexibly and remotely using digital tools. Due to the community care and outreach aspects, access to a car and a valid driving licence are essential.
