The purpose of this post is to be the lead member of staff of the Crisis Support Drop-In Service at your site, based at your identified principal work location/service site. You will coordinate all aspects of local service delivery, including line managing staff and volunteers, developing efficient systems and processes, and ensuring the service is delivered reliably, efficiently, and effectively in line with contract key performance indicators, stated outcomes, and goals.
Derbyshire Minds Crisis Support Drop-In Service (CSDI), in partnership with Derbyshire Mind and our partners, is an inclusive and supportive out-of-hours mental health crisis support service. The service provides a safe and welcoming alternative to A&E and other statutory urgent care services for individuals who self-identify as needing immediate non-clinical help with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
The Senior Support Worker is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the service at their designated site. This includes line managing the CSDI team, coordinating site staff and volunteer rotas, ensuring shifts are properly staffed, providing staff one-to-ones, leading team meetings, maintaining necessary resources, collating and reporting activity, data, and outcomes, reporting staff overtime to the Head of Central Services, responding to local enquiries, and liaising with the Services Lead to deliver on service objectives.
Derbyshire Mind is a local independent mental health charity providing community mental health and wellbeing services to support individuals with mental health problems, promote mental health, and enhance overall wellbeing across Derby and Derbyshire.
