VANRATH are delighted to be working with a well establish construction business based in the Portglenone area who are currently recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team, initially on a 2-3 month contract basis with potential for extension.
The Ideal Person
* Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
* Payroll role experience desirable
* Qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field (e.g., AAT, ACCA part-qualified) is desirable.
* Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
* Process invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and in a timely manner.
* Weekly and monthly payroll function
* Maintain and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end accounts.
* Support bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
* Handle queries from suppliers and customers regarding payments and invoices.
* Assist in payroll processing and maintain related records.
* Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.
