The successful candidate will be required to speak English to an appropriate standard.
The successful candidate will be required to be available outside of services normal working hours as part of a standby rota to respond to out of hours service needs. This post requires a Basic Criminal Record Check
Prospective employees will be required to give a reasonable account of any significant periods (6 months or more in the past 3 years) of time living abroad.
Pensions Regulations have provisions to reduce pension payments in certain circumstances of those who return to work within local government service. If you are in receipt of a pension upon commencing employment with the authority, this may affect your pension entitlements and you should therefore seek advice from the relevant Pensions Authority.
Our vision is to provide people with the right accommodation and support to build their resilience and sustain independent living. Building on our successful response to the Governments "Everyone In" policy during the Covid-19 pandemic we are establishing a new team to help us achieve this vision.
The Housing Led Support Team will use evidenced based approaches to provide personalised, trauma informed support to people who are rough sleeping or who are at risk of rough sleeping. Support will be provided at the projects residential base or in the community.
We are seeking to recruit a pool of relief Support Workers to cover staff absences, working between six and eleven hour shifts, providing duty cover at our residential unit.
Shift times requiring cover will include:
• 30pm, Saturday and Sunday
• The majority of these shifts are lone working. Enhancements to the hourly rate of pay will vary depending on the times and shifts worked.
You will act as the first point of contact for the homeless out of hours emergency line and ensure the safety of residents and security of the site. Please use the documents below to help support you with your application form.
