As a Ranger, your main priority under National Trust overall goal to see People and Nature thriving, will be to help restore nature, but you will also be expected to look for ways to help end unequal access to nature, beauty and history. Inspiring people to care and take action and to continually look for flexible new ways of working to help secure a future for us all. This role is physically demanding, working within a challenging and sometimes remote environment. You’ll need to be comfortable and capable of working outdoors on rugged terrain using a variety of machinery and equipment. There will be both team and lone working. You’ll be working as part of the Countryside team, based from offices at the Colby Estate, usually working 8am – 4pm. What you'll be doing You’ll be helping to protect and care for habitats, wildlife, buildings and machinery. You’ll pass on your knowledge and enthusiasm to encourage others to love this area as much as you do.
