Salary: £168.80 – £243.44 per day + SEND Allowance

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist provision in the Okehampton area to recruit a dedicated SEND Media/IT Teacher to join their supportive team.
About the School:
This specialist provision supports children and young people aged 5–16 with a wide range of needs, including autism, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and other additional learning difficulties. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. With small class sizes, a strong pastoral focus, and access to therapeutic support, the school ensures pupils receive personalised teaching and guidance to achieve their full potential.
The Role:
* Full-time, long-term position with an immediate start.
* Deliver engaging Media and IT lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with a range of SEND.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.
* Plan and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students, supporting both academic and personal development.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Strong subject knowledge in Media and/or IT.
* Experience of working with students with SEND is desirable, but not essential – a willingness to learn and adapt is key.
* Excellent communication, patience, and a nurturing approach.
