Global Payroll Solutions
The Role
As a Presales Delivery Consultant within Deel’s Global Payroll Solutions organisation, you will play a critical role in ensuring our global payroll customers transition from Sales to Implementation with clarity, confidence, and delivery readiness.
Reporting to the Director of Pre-Sales Delivery, you will lead in-depth payroll discovery and readiness validation for Mid-Market and Enterprise customers, ensuring that Onboarding Managers (OBMs) and Project Managers (PMs) receive a complete and accurate view of each client’s payroll landscape.
You will also support Sales on complex opportunities by providing payroll and implementation expertise, helping set realistic expectations and ensuring that what is sold can be delivered successfully.
This role sits at the heart of Deel’s Sales-to-Delivery motion, protecting customer experience, accelerating time-to-value, and enabling scalable global payroll growth.
What You’ll Do:
Payroll Discovery & Readiness
1. Lead detailed payroll discovery sessions with prospective and newly signed customers
2. Gather and document country scope, payroll populations, local processes, pay frequencies, benefits, statutory obligations, and integrations
3. Identify operational, compliance, and product risks early in the customer journey
4. Validate feasibility of scope, timelines, and rollout approaches
5. Prepare and advise of go live dates and roll out plans.
Sales to Implementation Handover
6. Create comprehensive, delivery-ready handover packs for OBMs and PMs
7. Ensure no loss of knowledge or scope between Sales and Implementation
8. Clearly document payroll assumptions, risks, dependencies, and constraints
9. Prevent late-stage surprises, re-discovery, and scope creep
Sales Enablement & Deal Support
10. Support Sales teams on complex global payroll opportunities by providing payroll and delivery expertise
11. Join selected sales calls to validate scope, explain implementation requirements, and build client confidence
12. Ensure customer expectations are aligned with delivery reality
Solutions & Payroll Enablement
13. Run Country Spotlight and enablement sessions with Payroll Implementation teams
14. Share country-specific complexity, risks, and best practices
15. Feed discovery insights into Product, Implementation tooling, Sales enablement, and delivery methodology
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a delivery-minded payroll professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced, global environments and understands that successful payroll implementations begin with exceptional discovery.
You will bring:
16. 5+ years of experience in global payroll, payroll implementation, or payroll operations
17. Strong understanding of multi-country payroll complexity and compliance
18. Experience leading or supporting payroll discovery, onboarding, or implementation projects
19. Ability to run structured, high-impact client discovery sessions
20. Excellent documentation and handover discipline
21. Confidence to raise risks and challenge assumptions constructively
22. Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
23. Comfort working cross-functionally across Sales, Product, Payroll, and Implementation
24. Experience using tools such as Salesforce, Notion, and project tracking tools
25. Fluency in English (additional languages a plus)
