Head of Policy and Communications – Wales
Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness.
Lead a team working across policy, public affairs and communications to deliver the changes needed to address homelessness in Wales. Work closely with politicians, government officials, sector leads and people with lived experience to ensure the Crisis goal of ending all forms of homelessness in Wales is a priority.
Responsibilities
* Develop and secure policy change at a national government level.
* Advise and influence policy through advocacy and strategic communications.
* Build positive stakeholder relationships with government, partners and affected communities.
* Act as an experienced spokesperson and communicate policy matters in a simple and concise way.
* Co‑create and influence objectives informed by frontline staff and people with lived experience of homelessness.
Qualifications
* Excellent knowledge and experience of policy development and government engagement.
* Track record of influencing policy and raising organisational profile through advocacy.
* Experience across policy, public affairs and media work.
* Strong stakeholder and relationship‑building skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex policy simply.
Contract & Salary
Contract: Fixed term up to 11 months (available as a secondment). Salary: £57,452 per annum.
