SHEQ MANAGER REQUIRED FOR WASTE MANAGEMENT OPERATION LOOKING TO DRIVE FORWARD COMPLIANCE AND MINIMISE RISK
TITLE: SHEQ Manager – Head of Compliance
LOCATION: Chippenham, Wiltshire to cover a number of sites
PREVIOUS ROLES MAY HAVE BEEN: Group Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Manager, QHSE / HSEQ / SHEQ Manager, Head of Compliance, Head of Heath & Safety, Group Compliance Manager
ROLE: SHEQ Manager – Head of Compliance
You will be responsible for Health and Safety, Environment and Quality across all operations within the business
You will innovate and work to drive performance vs relevant KPI’s e.g. improving near miss reporting, reducing LTA’s and RIDDOR’s and make sure regular audits are in place
You will maintain ISO’s and if required lead on any other relevant accreditations
You will deal with permitting and quality management systems
EXPERIENCE: SHEQ Manager – Head of Compliance
You will have managed SHEQ at a management, regional or head of level
You will have a background in a waste management / heavy / industrial production environment ideally with a distribution network. Examples of ideal backgrounds would include, Quarrying & Aggregates, Cement Kiln, Concrete Block Production, Building Products Manufacturing, Mining, Chemical Production, Waste Management, Metal Recycling, Foundry, Steel Works etc.
You will be Qualified to NEBOSH General or equivalent as a minimum, Higher qualifications desirable
Any affiliations that would be desirable include TechIOSH, GradIOSH, CMIOSH, IEMA as would any professional certification such as an MBA
You will have experience of ISO 18001. Any quality management / ISO 9001, or environmental management / ISO 14001 experience would be welcome
You will have excellent IT skills
