Support the delivery of fun, safe, and engaging sports and physical activity sessions this will include, Planning, leading and assessing sports sessions to a high standard and Planning sports sessions for children of all abilities and backgrounds.

£11,778 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.


What you'll do at work

Duties will include:

* Co-ordinating extra-curricular sports classes
* Supporting holiday camps
* Helping with lunch provision

Key Responsibilities:

* Nurseries and Early Years settings
* Primary school PE lessons
* Lunchtime and after school clubs
* Holiday activity camps
* Weekend football development sessions
* Assist lead coaches with setting up equipment and managing session flow
* Learn to plan, lead, and review coaching sessions under supervision
* Build positive relationships with children, school staff, and parents
* Promote physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
* Commit to completing required apprenticeship training, coursework, and assessments
* Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies at all times

* Enhance coaching competencies and inter-intra-personal skills through continued professional development and self-awareness skills training.

Your training plan

The apprentice will gain a Level 4 qualification in a Sports coach role they will have full training from the employer and also 20% off the job training with support from SCL professional

GCSE in:
