The Job Role
This Technology Solutions BDE role focuses on supporting and growing Westcoast’s HPE and Dell Technologies Distribution business across the UK. You'll play a key part in driving transactional business, coordinating marketing initiatives, fostering collaboration across Westcoast’s business units, and supporting our Services Teams. Additionally, you’ll develop hands-on skills in account management—supporting quoting, and ensuring orders are placed with our sales support team. With a strong training and mentoring program, this is an ideal starting point for anyone looking to build a successful career in IT sales or looking to develop theirs further.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
Partner Support and Growth
* Proactively engage with an assigned portfolio of Westcoast HPE and Dell partners, understanding their business needs and aligning with vendor strategies.
* Develop and execute partner growth plans aimed at increasing market share and driving transactional sales volume.
* Collaborate with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and resellers to position appropriate HPE and Dell solutions, identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
Market and Sales Development
* Protect and grow Westcoast’s share of HPE and Dell solutions through targeted sales initiatives.
* Support marketing activities and partner events to boost brand visibility and create new business pipelines.
* Expand the breadth of active Westcoast HPE and Dell partners while deepening existing relationships.
Account Management
* Manage quoting and order processing efficiently, ensuring partners receive timely, accurate support.
* Handle multiple partner requests simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Collaboration and Cross-BU Engagement
* Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Presales, Marketing, Services) to support joint activities and strengthen internal and external stakeholder relationships.
* Collaborate with the Contract Services Team to identify service opportunities and drive additional revenues.
Sales Execution and Pipeline Management
* Support the quoting process by producing accurate and timely proposals aligned to partner needs and vendor programs.
* Maintain and report accurate sales forecasts, working closely with Account Managers and Vendors to drive business.
* Monitor and promote vendor incentives and promotions, ensuring partners are kept up-to-date.
Training and Personal Development
* Complete training programs for both HPE and Dell portfolios, building expertise across core technologies including Datacentre, Cloud, Hybrid IT, Storage, and Networking solutions.
* Participate in broader professional skills training including CRM usage, Microsoft Office proficiency, sales methodologies, and negotiation skills.
* Establish a regular presence with key vendor teams, particularly at HPE's Winnersh office and Dell's London site, to foster close working relationships.

* Sales Aptitude: A strong desire to build a career in IT sales, with the drive to meet and exceed KPIs and targets.
* IT Interest/Experience: Ideally some exposure to the IT Channel, though not required. A keen interest in learning about HPE and Dell technologies across Servers, Storage, Cloud, Hybrid IT, Networking, and Services.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging across a range of customer contacts, from operational to C-level.
* Organisation & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple quoting and order processes effectively in a high-paced environment, prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
* Teamwork & Initiative: A positive, collaborative mindset and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
* Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Word, Excel, and email communication tools.
