We are now looking for Delivery Managers to help us achieve this. You will join our award-winning Technology & Transformation Directorate, which is the in-house IT division at the heart of the move to a digital, data-driven organisation, aiming to provide our customers with cutting-edge digital services.
Job Description
This role is within the Delivery Practice as part of the Solution Engineering Group in HM Land Registry’s Transformation and Technology directorate. It involves working with other practices to ensure successful delivery of various work packages, projects, or workstreams.
A Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of change within a project team or through coordination with various specialist teams, and for the performance of those teams. Responsibilities include:
1. Building and maintaining motivated, collaborative teams.
2. Identifying and overcoming obstacles to achieve outcomes.
3. Providing guidance to focus the team on priorities.
4. Encouraging continuous improvement in delivery.
5. Coaching and mentoring team members on tools and techniques.
The complexity of change or team size will vary depending on the context. This role supports HMLR’s digital transformation, aiming to enhance services and architecture to lead the industry in agile/lean practices, delivering more value to users with support from a community of delivery professionals.
Person Specification
Successful candidates will hold a degree in Information Technology or a related field, or have significant IT experience. Proven experience in planning and delivering major IT changes, along with knowledge of supporting tools and processes, is essential.
