Join the newly formed Organ & Tissue Donation and Transplantation (OTDT) Tissue & Eye Services Team and work alongside National and International leaders in the field of Donation and Transplantation.

Main duties of the job
In this role you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive personal assistant service to the Assistant Director Tissue & Eye Services, Head of Operations and members of the Tissue & Eye Services Senior Leadership Team acting as a central source of communication between those individuals across NHSBT and relevant external organisations. Your responsibilties will include:
1. Providing analytical support for Business Transition projects, including creating performance metrics, excel dashboard reports, trend analyses, and research reports.
2. Coordinating and supporting business initiatives using project management tools.
3. Tracking progress of Business Transition initiatives within the NHSBT Change Control Quality Management System.
4. Developing and maintaining specialized expertise to support Tissue & Eye Services Management.
5. Managing aspects of the Service Delivery portfolio and ensuring timely communication with external stakeholders.
6. Handling external enquiries sent to the Tissue & Eye Service team and ensuring timely responses.
7. Planning and booking venues for internal and external meetings.
8. Devising the Tissue & Eye Services Duty Manager team on-call roster for 24/7 coverage.
9. Approving leave across the Tissue & Eye Services Management team to maintain continuous coverage.
You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice
About You
Experience and Knowledge
10. Experience of administering and co-ordinating high-profile meetings / educational events in a large organisation
11. An awareness of the remit and function of NHSBT; the wider NHS and the Department of Health
12. Experience of a broad range of business practices including purchasing and budget administration
13. Ability to analyse and present a wide range of management information
14. Good basic knowledge of relevant statutory directives, i.e. Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, Equality and Diversity Directive
15. Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Visio, Publisher, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint)
Qualifications and Training
16. Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject (ie business, administration, or management) or equivalent demonstrable experience
17. Demonstrates commitment to own continued professional development (CPD)
