SEND Teaching Assistant
Job Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Fixed term while child remains at school
TA grade 1, point 2 + SEND allowance, £14,170.64 per annum including SEND Allowance
23 hours worked 8.45am – 3.15pm Monday – Thursday with 15-minute break & 30-minute lunch each day (unpaid)
St George’s CE Primary School has a vacancy for a skilled, committed individual to provide support for a pupil in year 3 with an Education, Health and Care Plan. We are looking to recruit someone who has a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs and is able to work as part of our friendly team.
The candidate would need the ability to form a safe, secure and supportive relationship with the pupil whilst showing patience, consistency and understanding to support their learning, social and communication needs. Please see the person specification for further details.
Responsibilities
Support a pupil in year 3 with an Education, Health and Care Plan. Build a safe, secure, and supportive relationship; assist with learning, social and communication needs; work as part of the school team to support the pupil’s progress.
