This is an onsite, permanent position where you will leverage your mechanical engineering experience to lead and supervise a multiskilled team, ensuring all activities are completed on time and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a machine shop.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installing main machinery on new build vessels
* Reading and understanding technical drawings
* Setting up and aligning shafts, thrusters, rudders, gearboxes, pumps and commissioning mechanical equipment
* Maximising labour utilisation by setting work for the team to meet delivery schedules
* Providing technical advice to the team and identifying process improvements
* Updating all relevant documents including daily progress registers, log books, accident books, training, performance records, and attendance logs
Job Requirements:
* Machine Shop experience
* Supervisory experience in an industrial environment
* IT skills, especially MS Office
