Engineering Caseload Manager / Apprenticeship Assessor
Location: North East (primarily Tyne & Wear - multi-site delivery)
Salary: £41,500 - £44,500
We're working with a well-established training provider who are looking to appoint an Engineering Caseload Manager to support and guide apprentices across Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician (MOET) Level 3 and Electrical Engineering standards.
An Electrical maintenance background is strongly preferred.
This is a great opportunity for either:
An experienced, qualified apprenticeship assessor, or
A time-served Electrical Maintenance Engineer ready to step away from the tools and move into training (full support and qualifications provided).
The Role
You'll manage a caseload of Maintenance Engineering apprentices, acting as their main point of contact throughout their apprenticeship journey. From induction through to EPA preparation, you'll ensure learners stay engaged, supported and on track to succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and supporting a caseload of Level 3 Engineering apprentices
Delivering training, coaching and mentoring (workplace & remote)
Supporting learners with portfolio building, evidence gathering and EPA readiness
Working closely with employers to align training with workplace activity
Conducting reviews, progress checks and assessments
Identifying and resolving barriers to learning early
Liaising with internal quality and curriculum teams to maintain high standards
What We're Looking For
Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering or a closely related discipline
Strong industry experience, ideally within Electrical Maintenance / Engineering
Open to:
Already qualified Assessors / Trainers, or
Engineers looking to transition from industry into training
Assessor / teaching qualifications (TAQA, CAVA, AET, etc.) are desirable but not essential
Confident communicator with a genuine passion for developing apprentices
Knowledge of UK engineering apprenticeship standards (or willingness to learn)
