Job Description Job Title: Part-Time Sports Therapist / Physiotherapist Salary: Hourly rate TBA but competitive, based on experience Hours/Weeks: Wednesdays & Fridays, 10:00am – 3:00pm (School Term Time Only) Additional hours for pitch-side duties during home matches (included within weekly hours or agreed separately). Contract Type: Permanent Reports To: Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for Sports Overview: Westfield Academy is seeking a dedicated and proactive Sports Therapist or Physiotherapist to support our Football and Basketball Academy students. The successful candidate will provide professional therapy services, injury prevention advice, rehabilitation programs, and pitch-side assistance during all home fixtures Key Responsibilities: Provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports injuries to student-athletes. Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation and injury prevention programs. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with best practice. Support pitch-side for all home games (football), ensuring immediate response to injuries and first aid needs. Liaise with coaches, PE staff, and external medical professionals to ensure optimal care and recovery plans for athletes. Educate students on self-care, injury prevention, and recovery strategies. Person Specification Attributes Essential (or expected to train/qualify to that standard) Qualifications & Training Degree in Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy, or a related field. HCPC registration (for physiotherapists) or relevant professional accreditation. First Aid qualification (e.g. Emergency First Aid at Work or equivalent) – pitch-side qualification desirable. Relevant Experience Experience of working in a school setting Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Expert Experience working with adolescent athletes and knowledge of football and basketball injury profiles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
