Opportunity
Team CACI is seeking a Network Engineer to support an Intelligence Community customer's diverse network infrastructure, including CAN, LAN, CORE, and WAN networks. The role involves implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT networks, encompassing daily operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all network architecture and devices.
Develop and implement network support processes for CAN/LAN/WAN, ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Support the design, analysis, and maintenance of complex IT networks, from requirements gathering to installation and troubleshooting. Evaluate network performance, consult on improvements, and make technology recommendations to senior management. Experience with large‑scale enterprise networks in a fast‑paced environment is essential.
Responsibilities
* Provide problem identification, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents and problems.
* Support escalation and communication of status to company management and the customer.
* Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
* Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving applications, operating systems, hardware, communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
* Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components, and implement operating‑system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
* Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems, including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
* Support hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and design.
* Provide transition planning and support services to accelerate delivery timelines, reduce operational risk, and ensure service continuity during transition.
* Provide transition planning and support for migration of existing services between environments (including migration to cloud environments), and migration of users from existing service platforms to new service offerings.
* Work individually and actively participate on integrated teams.
* Understand and apply advanced concepts and processes to daily activities.
* Assist more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers.
* Perform tasks of lower‑level technicians or specialists.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* At least 5 years of related work experience.
* TS/SCI with polygraph required.
* DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01‑M, IAT II required.
* Planned, built, and installed cable patch panels and cable infrastructures.
* Installed and terminated all types of standard IT cable and fiber.
* Managed IT network infrastructure and related processes.
* Makes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirements.
* Provided installation management, including material lists, bills of materials, estimating project timelines, determining installation team requirements, and executing projects with documentation of status.
* Installed equipment racks and equipment in various locations, including data centers, equipment rooms, communications closets, operations centers, and user workspaces.
* Experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, VLAN, Spanning Tree Protocol).
* Knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and related technologies, as well as network hardware (routers, switches).

* Certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIP, CCNA, CCNP, or similar.

Salary Range
$75,200–$158,100 (national average).
