A large food manufacturer are seeking a hands on Engineering Team Leader, where youll lead a skilled team, driving operational excellence and supporting Engineers on routine and reactive maintenance. Your will be an experienced qualified Engineer with a background of leading a Engineering team, confident in mechanical or electrical maintenance within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Salary A GBP 45,000 to A GBP 55,000 plus Benefits

What You Will Do:
: Support the Engineering Manager and take full managerial responsibility during their absence.
: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers and apprentices to achieve their full potential.
: Develop and maintain an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system to ensure operational efficiency.
: Respond swiftly to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimise downtime.
: Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
: Participate in mechanical and electrical projects, including machine installations, panel upgrades, and effluent plant operations.
What You Will Bring:
: An Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering and at least 4 years of engineering experience.
: Proven skills in electrical systems, welding/fabrication, and mechanical fitting.
: Supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to mentor engineers and apprentices.
: Strong fault:finding skills and familiarity with process machinery.
: Initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
