The Role
We're currently working with a specialist manufacturer of advanced metallic materials and engineered alloys used in high-performance industrial applications. This is a Metallurgy & Process Specialist role focused on optimising metallurgical production processes, supporting materials performance, and driving continuous improvement across a technically complex manufacturing environment.
They are seeking someone with a strong grounding in metals, materials science, or process metallurgy to support day-to-day production activities while also contributing to process development, quality improvement, and yield optimisation initiatives.
This is a hands-on, technically varied position bridging production support, materials understanding, and process engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the manufacture and processing of advanced metallic materials and engineered alloys
Monitor and optimise metallurgical processes to improve yield, consistency, and product quality
Investigate material behaviour, process deviations, and non-conformances using structured root cause analysis
Support melting, casting, forming, heat treatment, and finishing operations (where applicable)
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across production and materials processes
