Clover UK Sales Director
What does a successful Field Sales Director do at Fiserv?
The Field Sales Director will be a recognised leader of our field-based Business Consultants and Area Sales Managers to grow the level of boarded small and medium sized (SMB) businesses across the UK. This short cycle merchant services sales team operates nationally. You will be primarily targeted on levels of new merchants activated by your sales team but you will also be responsible for managing the quality of sales (customer longevity, satisfaction etc). You will be a senior member of the Clover UK Leadership team and responsible for driving the profitability, risk management and strategy of the Clover UK business overall. The role is office based in Basildon, Essex.
What You Will Do
* Lead, manage and motivate a team of successful Business Consultants and Area Sales Managers across the UK.
* Develop sales and lead generation strategies in this B2B environment, and leverage Clover partner relationships (or micro merchant sales for Clover's various organisations or verticals) to source sales opportunities.
* Build a sustainable pipeline of new business with consistent performance across the whole team while ensuring sales strategies retain clients for the long term.
* Recruit, retain and manage a highly effective sales team through day‑to‑day management and by devising training plans and strategies that increase value from our salespeople.
* Continuously improve the quality of sales in terms of customer longevity, complaint levels, regulatory obligations and standards.
* Represent Fiserv values by embodying the highest ethical standards and treating others with dignity, respect and genuine concern, ensuring your team does the same.
* Drive the profitability, risk management and strategy of the Clover UK business as a senior member of the Clover UK Leadership team.
What You Will Need To Have
* Track record of managing teams and delivering high levels of results and motivation.
* Track record of implementing and managing organisational change to achieve KPIs and objectives.
* Ability to use data and insight to drive improved performance against multiple KPIs.
* Ability to adapt to a short‑cycle sales environment and continually evolve the sales strategy.
* Knowledge of product lines, their profitability and risk dynamics end to end.
* Experience selling a range of value‑added solutions and deep knowledge of their features and benefits for customers.
* Track record of recruiting, retaining and motivating high‑calibre staff and managing performance across individuals and teams.
* Experience designing sales incentive plans to generate optimal business outcomes.
* Highly effective stakeholder management and partnership with non‑sales teams such as Risk, Compliance and Product.
* Highly self‑driven and motivated with high expectations of the team.
What Would Be Great To Have
* Prior experience in a quota‑driven, self‑sourcing sales environment for small to medium size clients.
* Prior experience in sales scoping and qualification, sales closing and agreements, field sales, telesales and prospecting.
* Prior experience as a manager of managers.
